Quoting ScarlettAngel:
Tonight my daughter and I were catching up on "Glee", our favorite show to watch together. Quinn got kicked out of her parents' house for being pregnant, while Kurt, who is openly gay, is loved and protected by his single father. We got into a discussion, and my daughter could not fathom anyone who would treat their child that way.
I couldn't ask for a better opening than that, so wew had the talk....where I told her I knew for sure I was bisexual. And that my parents would be the type to kick me out for it, even now. After explaining to her that it did not mean I was leaving her dad, quite the opposite, and what things I was doing, she was a little quiet, naturally. She's 14. She thinks alot.
So I asked her, how did she feel. She hugged me and said "You're my mom. I love you and I don't see you any differently."
WOW. I can't tell you how powerful a love that is. And how those words are now engraved in my heart.
I pray that you all find that kind of love and acceptance.
